In order to fulfill the objectives of the project the members of the team participated and delivered 6 presentations at conferences and international symposia and 1 presentation at a national conference. These events were organized by prestigious research and academic institutions in Romania or abroad, which are the following:
16-18 of March 2017, the national conference “Violent Resistance. From The Baltics to Central and South Eastern Europe 1945-1956” organized by the Österreichische Akademie der Wissenschaften (ÖAW), Institut für Neuzeit- und Zeitgeschichtsforschung (INZ), Wien Karl von Vogelsang-Institut, Arenberg Stiftung in Vienna, Austria. Cosmin Budeanca presented the paper: “The Armed Anticommunist Resistance in North-Western Romania. Causes, Evolution, Consequences, and the Role of Families and Local Communities”.
30-31 of March 2017, national conference “Romanian Communism”, organized by the Council for the Study of the Securitate Archives and the “Nicolae Iorga” Institute of History in Bucharest. Andreea Tuzu presented the paper: Biografia unui disident și exilat român: Victor Frunză (1935-2007) [The Biography of a Romanian Dissenter and Exile Member: Victor Frunza (1935-2007)].
