Volumes
During 2017 the two volumes planned in the project were completed:
Cosmin Budeancă, Dalia Báthory (eds.), Histories (Un)Spoken. Strategies of Survival and Social-Professional Integration in Political Prisoners’ Families in Communist Central and Eastern Europe in the ’50s and ’60s, Lit Verlag, Berlin – Münster – Wien – Zürich – London, 2017.
The volume contains two introductory studies signed by Cosmin Budeanca and Dalia Bathory, as well as 19 materials presented at the international conference Histories (Un)Spoken. Survival and Social-Professional Integration Strategies in Political Prisoners’ Families in Communist Central and Eastern Europe in the ’50s and ’60s, organized at Ramnicu Sarat during 22-25 of June 2016.

Mărturii și documente [Lives in the Shadows of the Past. Survival and Social-Professional Integration of Former Political Prisoners’ Families during Communism], vol. I, Polirom Publishing House, Iași, 2017.
The volume consists of 19 interviews (out of the 64 taken until the time of publication) with 8 former political prisoners, a wife of a former political prisoner and 12 children or grandchildren of former political prisoners. There are also 55 documents regarding the situation of the detainees or of that of their families, during and especially after the detention. The documents were identified and selected from the Archive of the National Council for the Study of the Securitate Archives.
